I’m a curious and enthusiastic creator of anything I can get my hands on. I mean, I really love this stuff. I’ve spent 15 years now in sunny Gainesville FL — first as the University of Florida’s senior brand designer, and now as the Art Director and Senior Designer at the UF College of Medicine, using pencil and pixel to help advance the research, teaching and clinical missions of one of the nation’s best medical schools.
I believe that optimism is essential to creativity, and that communicating complex ideas in simple ways is a super power.
When I’m away from my desk, you’ll likely find me on a bike in the woods, paddling a canoe down some great little Florida stream, building a monster truck garage from Duplo blocks, or doing something else with my beautiful family.

I have won some awards for design, illustration and art direction, and my work has been displayed in collaborative and solo galleries. That stuff feels nice, but mostly I’m happy to have made some things that I believe are earnest and useful.
